  18. <p>     The hunt is on for a chap in stocking cap and striped shirt.
  19. In the U.S. he's Waldo, but his British creator Martin
  20. Handford, 34, calls him Wally. By either name, he hikes through
  21. a series of children's books that have sold more than 3.5
  22. million copies worldwide. Readers must find his cheery face in
  23. crowded scenes. "It's fair to say I'm obsessed with it," says
  24. Handford, whose fourth Waldo book is due this summer. While
  25. drawing, he listens to a Bee Gees song with the words, "I
  26. started a joke that started the whole world laughing." And
  27. searching.
